Growing up in a flesh-eating society, the move to a plant-based, flesh-free (as much as possible) Livity, or lifestyle, is a true work in progress/process. The crux of the research done and resultant implementations rendered Braggin’ Dragon bloggers a much fuller comprehension of the need to maintain an Alkaline metabolic system as well as a regular cleansing program for our systems.
The hueman body is naturally alkaline. The quest in life is to maintain that natural state, i.e Alkaline Ph. With an overconsumption of flesh and an underconsumption of green leafy vegetables, whole grains, etc. such a balance becomes difficult to keep. The fact is that, without serious commitment and vigilance to one’s own self-preservation, maintaining an alkaline Ph is practically impossible.
The true purpose of eating is to provide nutrients to the body required to sustain ongoing bodily functions. This occurs at the cellular level. Meat and potatoes may fill the space of the stomach, but do they FEED the body at the cellular level? After all, this is where nutrient-absorption, i.e. feeding the body, takes place. So how can a substance which is DEAD, i.e. flesh, be full of the life-giving energy required by the body for us to live a long dis-ease free life? The answer is, It Can’t! As a result, many people experience states of discomfort and dis-ease which all-too-often lead to the state of death because their bodies are starving (at the cellular level).
So what do we do? Certainly eating an excess of green leafy vegetables will, hopefully, balance out the excessive acid created from the consumption of flesh. Also, regular cleansings are mandate. Without a doubt, most must undergo a radical cleansing regimen to offset years of decaying matter housed in their large intestinal tract. (See our blog: “To Cleanse or Not to Cleanse…”) Learning to live in harmony with Nature (our body) and accepting that which is good for us (whether we LIKE it or not) and eschewing that which does not feed the body (even though it tastes great!) is the mandate of the moment.
Eat LIFE, have life. Eat DEATH, have death. Our choice is LIFE, what’s yours?
