“…All Moorish-Americans must keep their hearts and minds pure with Love and their bodies clean with water…” – Act 7, Divine Constitution and Bylaws, M.S.T. of A., Inc.
Although this injunction was given as a part of the teachings to uplift Moorish-Americans, the truth of the statement is Universal. The first level of purity is of the spirit and occurs within, actuating and opening the way for Divine Love to enter, become and remain a part of our daily living. We give thanks!
Just as important, however, is the need for keeping the body “clean with water”. We note that soap is not a true requirement for cleanliness. We certainly apprecia-love the benefits of fragrances, moisturizers, etc. we derive from soap, it is water that makes the Clean. We’re sure that most will attest to their taking a bath or shower everyday, yet is this enough? Apparently not!…for this is only EXTERNAL cleaning. What about cleansing the INTERNAL body?
Braggin’ Dragon bloggers have found that using water to regularly cleanse the body internally is critical to our well-being and we encourage all who read this to investigate, share and, then, activate further. Through societal programming most individuals respond to the word ‘enema’ with either fear or disbelief or a combination of the two. Many in the “medical profession” say that enemas are not good for us. To the contrary, a clean and healthy colon translates to a healthier metabolic system. “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” Godliness must be our goal in all aspects of life, yet we walk around with a clogged colon (full of dried feces [from how many years?] clinging to the walls of the colon) acting as if this does not affect our well-being. Can we attain such a goal of ‘Godliness’ with a dirty body? The answer is definitively NO!
Besides why would we desire to walk around with a temple unfit for your Divinity (as you know Divinity) to enter? Why would we not desire to have the cleanest, healthiest system possible? It’s interesting that Madison Avenue, when pitching the sales of gasoline (for your automotive machine), will make a point of stressing that their gasoline will help your car 1) run better, 2) remain free of dirt and grime as well as 3) prolong the life of your vehicle’s engine. We all know the importance of maintaining our vehicles in the best condition possible as is confirmed by the regular oil changes and other ‘preventive maintenance’ we afford our vehicles. No one we know would put sugar in their vehicle’s tank. Yet daily we put sugar in our tanks, primarily processed sugars.
On the other hand, when that same Madison Avenue mounts Ad campaigns to sell you food, especially the major fast food brands, they seldom, if ever, tell you that their foods will 1) help your body perform better, 2) help free the body of dirt and grime (toxins) and 3) prolong your life. They DO tell you how good it tastes and how happy you’ll be to eat it, but WHEN was the last time food advertisers made health-full claims concerning their products? Basically, THEY CAN’T! Besides, thanks to such unhealthy eating paradigms peddled to the general public there is a THRIVING DEATHcare system operating and growing because, in addition to gasoline and fast foods, that same Madison Avenue promotes the medications which alleviate the symptoms of, but never heal, the systemic poisoning we do to ourselves. How crazy!
More importantly, why do we act so contrarily with our vehicles and bodies? Why eat anything and everything, never ‘changing the oil’ or providing a ‘lube job’ for the body. If ‘preventive maintenance’ is good for your mechanical machines, why would the same principle not apply to the ultimate machine, the physical body?
“…and their bodies clean with water…”
So, if we still have your interest perhaps we should detail the manner in which you may experience your own cleansing. We describe most states of dis-ease as a dirty body striving to rid itself of toxins. A very general definition yet quite adequate to the accomplishment of our work here. So to comprehend the need to clean the inside of our body as we do the outside is foremost in our conversation. There are a number of ways to cleanse including herbal teas, clays, herbal formulae, certain foods and leaves, enemas. Our conversation today is centered around the enema. Many of us from the Moorish community can remember, and some today might still see, that hot water bottle (usually red), with the white hose and nozzle…an enema bottle, hanging in Grandmother’s or Mother’s bathroom. Some may even remember receiving an enema from their family matriarchs. Our mothers knew the importance of cleansing the system. This was especially so as they lived during legalized segregation and were unable to be treated at hospitals unless the hospitals were in the Providence Hospital System* which, to our knowledge, were only located in our communities in urban areas. The enema was one of the tools of preventive medicine utilized by our ancestors because they overstood the relation between eating and cleansing, at least seasonally.
So of the aforementioned methods of cleansing we are discussing the enema today. An enema is the quickest way, i.e. an hour or less, to rid the intestinal system of fecal matter. Though many methods are efficacious, the enema is the most rapid in relieving the system of its overload. Some of us are so full of __it, that we could take an enema a day for 7 days (not recommended) and still have some decade-old fecal matter clinging to the intestinal walls! Incredible, huh? Well, answer this question for yourself: “How long have you been eating (especially flesh) and how often, in that period of time, have you cleansed your colon?”
The benefits of enemas vary with the physical condition of the person cleansing, yet in general we capsulize those benefits with this comparison. Is there anyone we know who never empties their trash can? Not many if any. The point is that just like not emptying a trash can, the trash will overflow the can and eventually fill the room, in which it sits, with trash gradually filling the house if not checked. This is the basic concept of what happens with our bodies when we never cleanse our intestinal system. Excess poisons/toxins which the body was unable to properly eliminate overflow the physical system, seeking an alternate means of elimination, manifesting in various conditions of dis-ease. Making sense? N.B., the SOLE function of the large intestines is to eliminate the bulk, physical waste produced after the body has absorbed all nutrients therefrom. Therefore an impacted colon is the same as an un-emptied trash can.
It might be asked “how does this work?” Basically, let’s think about that baked macaroni and cheese casserole we enjoyed recently. After all was done, we SOAKED that casserole dish in WATER, leaving it to sit so the water rehydrates the hard baked-on macaroni and cheese, making cleanup much easier. The enema does the same for us. The water rehydrates, sometimes decades old, dried toxic fecal matter making it more easily expelled from the body. This is the fundamental process.
At this point, we must state that we are NOT trained physicians. We ARE practitioners of self-maintenance and self-healing methodologies which over the years, have helped, and continue to help, us live an abundant life free of the basic physical ills for which so many others are daily taking, otherwise needless, medications. We speak/write of that which we have utilized and found meritorious of sharing with others. So feel free to consult your healthcare provider but FIRST please do your research to verify our sharing for yourself.
The enema process itself is truly simple. Use only WARM water, as cool/cold water will severely cramp you…a very unpleasant experience.
- Fill your bottle with warm water. Warm to the hand is generally good.
- Lubricate the nozzle with a natural plant-based butter or oil.
- Lying on your left side, insert the nozzle and release the water. Take it all or initially as much as you are comfortably able.
- If unable to take the entire contents, release when necessary and continue the process until you have taken the water of the entire bottle.
- Once you’ve taken in the contents, continue to lie on your left side for 3 minutes, holding the water.
- Then, still holding the water, lie on your back for another 3 minutes and your right side for yet another 3 minutes.
- After these 10 minutes, release the water (and contents).
