Two words, Same letters, very distinct meanings
One doesn’t need go far, at least in my neighborhood, before hearing the reference, usually from one ‘brother’ to another, of “dog”. Why? The power of our words is critical in the upliftment of self and community. To refer to yourselves as ‘dog’ instead of ‘gods’ is, to these writers, absurd at best. Of course, ‘dog’ allows you to unempower your responsibility to become the BEST ‘Be’ you can achieve. Imagine the transformation when the countless number of ‘men’ who use this phrase, now CONSISTENTLY and PERSISTENTLY refer to themselves, and each other, as ‘god’! A revolution of the highest order literally overnight.
Truly, given the choice of being a ‘god’ or being a ‘dog’, which is your preference? Which truly embraces your highest ideals and qualities? Which are the character traits you desire to cultivate? Is ‘dog’ easier to say than ‘god’? Or, are you simply opposed to acknowledging, knowing and being your true ‘god’-self?
